Bob Jones lived everyday with a sense of loving gratitude.

For Bob, the world was a sacred place and to sing its song was his calling.
Yesterday his life’s work ended. His wife Bonita called to inform me Bob had suffered a stroke.

He passed away a short time later.

His work, his youthful spirit and his compassion will be greatly missed by his wife, children and grandchildren – as well as those who followed his writing online.

Bob and I had become close over the years.

Although we never met in person, we undoubtedly crossed paths in our youth. We both hail from the same hometown – Danville, Illinois, a place he often wrote about in loving detail.
It was, after all, his writing that first caught my eye. I happened upon his blog by chance.

Halfway through the first post, I was determined to share what I was reading with a greater audience.

And so we did and will continue to do.

Robert Kenneth Jones Journal has reached people around the world. To read Bob's writing is to apprehend what is in evidence all around us – “The Kingdom of the Father spread upon the earth, yet men do not see.”

Bob saw it. He held it up and marveled at its beauty. Thank you for sharing that vision with us.

We encourage you to share this rich source of healing, inspiration and meditation.
