Service and Crisis Intervention
Over a 24-year chaplaincy career, Chaplain Duvoe has donated thousands of volunteer hours to support public safety personnel operating in high-stress, traumatic environments. Deploying directly to critical incident scenes, he assists first responders, crime scene investigators, and grieving families navigating acute loss. His work focuses on providing a calm, compassionate presence that helps individuals process immediate shock, mitigate cumulative trauma, and build long-term psychological resilience.
In recognition of his extraordinary commitment—including logging more than 3,000 volunteer hours supporting Central Texas law enforcement agencies—Chaplain Duvoe was honored with the Governor’s Volunteer of the Year Award at the 41st Annual Governor’s Volunteer Awards.
BlueBridge Alliance and Community-Police Partnerships
Beyond his field chaplaincy with the Round Rock Police Department, Duvoe works to bridge the gap between public safety agencies and the communities they serve. As a leader implementing the BlueBridge Alliance initiative, he helps coordinate resources and emergency aid for individuals and families in crisis.
Through this work, Chaplain Duvoe focuses on:
Strengthening Community Trust: Fostering direct, positive relationships between law enforcement officers and local residents during non-crisis and emergency situations alike.
Support for Families in Need: Providing actionable relief and crisis support to individuals facing sudden hardship, trauma, or loss.
First-Responder Morale: Supporting the mental health, spiritual well-being, and operational morale of police officers, dispatchers, and support staff.
Whether serving on scene with the Round Rock Police Department, supporting crime scene investigators, or guiding community outreach, Chaplain Eric Duvoe remains dedicated to serving those who protect and serve Central Texas.
