It is time that we make changes to our system of juvenile injustice in this country. After all, a society can be judged on how it treats its children. Chaplain Andrew Wasmundt reflects on the mass shooting that occurred on July 20, 2012 inside a Century 16 movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, killing 12 people and injuring 70.
Chaplain Wasmundt serves with the Aurora Colorado Police Department and Colorado State Patrol. He has been involved in law enforcement chaplaincy for 18 years, in the past, also serving the Lincoln Police & Fire Department in Lincoln, NE, and Nebraska Public Safety prior to moving to Colorado.

On November 5, 2017, a gunman wearing a black tactical gear entered the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs during their regular Sunday morning service killing 26 people and injuring 20 others.
The gunman later committed suicide after fleeing the church.
Chaplain Mary Rae of the Whitney Police Department travelled to the community to provide spiritual support. This is her story.
On June 12, 2016, a gunman burst into the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, killing 49 people and wounding 53 others. The gunman was later killed by SWAT after negotiations had failed and the gunman began killing hostages.
Orlando Police Department Senior Chaplain Andrew Wade discusses the efforts by police chaplains to provide support to the hundreds of officers, support staff and citizens impacted by the tragedy.
